Ceftiofur hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of ceftiofur, a semisynthetic, beta-lactamase-stable, broad-spectrum, third-generation cephalosporin with antibacterial activity. It acts by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) on the bacterial cell wall, leading to cell lysis.
